DISEASE CAUSED BY BACTERIA
WHAT IS BACTERIA:-
Bacteria are most widely distributed organism. These are unicellular microorganisms.
"LEEUWENHOK" discovered bacteria for the first time in 1677.Later "LOUIS PASTEUR" and "ROBERTKOCH" worked on them. This was a milestone in the history of biology.
TRANSMISSION OF BACTERIAL DISEASE:-
General bacterial diseases like whooping cough,diphtheria,t.b.and pneumonia causing bacteria spread from one person to another through sneezes and cough droplets released in air.
Bacteria causing typhoid and cholera are transmitted from one organism to an other through contaminated water and food.
Plagues and and bacterial dysentery spread through vectors like flies and mosquitoes.
SOME COMMON BACTERIAL DISEASE:-
IN PLANTS:-
Canker.fire blight an rot.potato scrub.
IN ANIMALS:-
T.b. and anthrax.
